Aims and objectives will :-

Help establish The North Kent Marshes as a name that is widely recognised and that people have positive feelings towards.

Raise the profile of the Marshes locally, regionally and nationally.

Encourage local pride, interest, understanding and involvement in the Marshes.

Encourage improved but sensitive access to the Marshes.  Encourage green tourism to the area, and highlight the economic benefits of protecting the Marshes.

Campaign for funding and encourage business support for appropriate projects on the Marshes. Lobby for political support for the Marshes at all levels .

Help reduce human and corporate misuse of the Marshes.

Work alongside and provide local advice and contact points for groups and organisations who share these aims.

Oppose development not conducive to the above aims.  


The Friends of North Kent Marshes does not accept money.
If you want to donate to charitable organisations who are doing positive things for the benefit of the North Kent Marshes for people and for wildlife, then please give to the RSPB or to the Kent Wildlife Trust for their work to improve the North Kent Marshes,
